I saw this sort of post on someone's blog and thought it was really cute, so I felt like trying it myself! A bit late for Robamaru's mannaka birthday, but oh well, better late than never, and I couldn't wait until next year! This isn't the extent of my Robamaru collection (it wouldn't fit in one post!), but it gives a general idea of their friendship.

First of all, what is Robamaru? Newer hyphens might not know what Robamaru means. Robamaru (ロバ丸) is the name Ueda and Nakamaru chose for their team when they were playing a game on Shounen Club during their Jr years. Roba (donkey in Japanese) was the nickname given to Ueda by Yokoyama (Kanjani8), and Maru comes from the end of Nakamaru's name. Since then, the name caught on with hyphens to refer to this pairing.

So what is Robamaru mannaka birthday (ロバ丸 真ん中バースデー)? Nakamaru and Ueda were born exactly one month apart, so Robamaru mannaka birthday is a day halfway in between their birthdays (September 19th) on which Hyphens like to celebrate their friendship.

They had the same expected birth date but ended up being born exactly one month apart. The funny thing is they were also born with the same weight.
Ueda gave up the Waseda University entry exam to focus on idol activities.
Nakamaru would years later enter and graduate from Waseda University.
Nakamaru: "October 4th is the day I was supposed to be born. However, it seems my mom was on a roller coaster while she was pregnant with me, so I came out earlier than planned (laughs). Anyway, I feel pre-destined to meet Ueda-kun, who was born on the day I was supposed to be born."
Fun fact, to this day Nakamaru is still scared of heights and roller coasters...
It used to be Ueda who put his arm around Nakamaru.
But that soon changed.
They often commuted together to the Johnnys' office during Jr days.
Nakamaru became a good friend to the shy Ueda.
But suddenly Nakamaru grew taller than Ueda!
And soon it was Nakamaru who'd always put his arm around Ueda.

They took pictures together in private and even wore matching rings.
They kept a good friendship throughout the years.
Ueda was often caught gazing at Nakamaru during tv shows, haha.
Aren't they adorable?
Robamaru also had their own weekly radio show called R-One from 2006 to 2012.
Hairstyles, fashion, and poses rarely changed during this period.
They also went on trips just the two of them and had sleepovers.
Nakamaru got his driving license first and used to give Ueda a ride to work.
Nakamaru liked the book Eternal Zero.
Ueda would star in the movie adaptation of the book.
Robamaru were also often paired together for photoshoots.

They've always had cute moments during the live concerts as well.
