[MAG] Ueda Tatsuya - Songs vol.9 (Feb 2023)

KAT-TUN releases their new album "Fantasia" on February 15th. It is a work full of feeling that contains many songs recorded in various genres. This album's tour will start soon. This time, we heard about the ideas for this tour and of course about the album from Ueda Tatsuya.  Songs: What did you focus on as a group when releasing the new album "Fantasia"? Ueda:  First of all the theme for this one was to try to make it genre-less without deciding on a system for it. So, while having the staff show us songs, we would tell them what sort of songs we wanted more of and they would find it. We repeated this several times. Moreover, it feels like everyone, the 3 of us and the staff, chose the songs.  S: What made you want to go genre-less? U: With last year's album "Honey" we tried a more mature atmosphere, so it would be a shame to let that go to waste this time. Rather, we thought it was alright to mix all the genres we have done so far. That's...

Ueda Tatsuya new album "Honey" message

With the album "Honey," I have the feeling that a new door has been opened. I think it has become more and more common these days for senior members to work together beyond the groups, but "CRYSTAL MOMENT" was recorded with a different group of people than usual, so it felt fresh. I don't get nervous, but the other two were nervous, so there was that feeling. I was also genuinely moved by the fact that we could simply be involved as a group in the Olympics with a song. The fact that it was the first announcement for the group in the new year also made me feel that we had made a good start for the year. The rhythm of "Prisoner" was very well done. This time, we have a collection of songs that would be difficult to sing at karaoke, and "Prisoner" is a good example of that. The concept of the album is different from usual, so there were some detailed directions during the recording. In that sense, "Born Free" is also a difficult song,...

Ueda Tatsuya 「カンタービル」Cantabile lyrics (kanji + English translation)

English I was looking at the cherry blossom view A tiny bud failed to bloom One by one ...

Robamaru's mid-Birthday (ロバ丸 真ん中バースデー)

I saw this sort of post on someone's blog and thought it was really cute, so I felt like trying it myself! A bit late for Robamaru's mannaka birthday, but oh well, better late than never, and I couldn't wait until next year! This isn't the extent of my Robamaru collection (it wouldn't fit in one post!), but it gives a general idea of their friendship.  💙💜 First of all, what is Robamaru? Newer hyphens might not know what Robamaru means. Robamaru (ロバ丸) is the name Ueda and Nakamaru chose for their team when they were playing a game on Shounen Club during their Jr years. Roba (donkey in Japanese) was the nickname given to Ueda by Yokoyama (Kanjani8), and Maru comes from the end of Nakamaru's name. Since then, the name caught on with hyphens to refer to this pairing. 💙💜 So what is Robamaru mannaka birthday Nakamaru and Ueda were born exactly one month apart, so Robamaru mannaka birthday is a day halfway in between their birthdays (September 19th)...
