Nakamaru also has a radio show on MBS (Osaka radio station), MassMaru, so he would like to participate in an Osaka radio show sometime.
Nakamaru said he would recommend Ain't Seen Nothing Yet to people listening to KAT-TUN for the first time. This was the first song they decided on for the new album. The new album has an adult feeling. KAT-TUN have become 16 years and are adults now, so they're finally able to do this kind of album, so they decided on Honey as the title.
The live will have ofc the new album songs, but also major songs, and also hyphen's favorites, so it will be a good balance.
KAT-TUN is 3 people now and debuted 16 years ago, but they were formed 5 years before that, so they have been together for over 20 years. It seems like they've always been together since they've met so it's a strange feeling.
Kamenashi-kun was in a national baseball competition when he was a child. He's really good, maybe you've seen him in sports tv shows. Also, he's very good at stage plays. He lends this experience in the making of KAT-TUN's lives.
Nakamaru and Ueda both entered Johnnys when they were in junior high school. They lived in the same direction so they often took the train together back home. Ueda is physically very strong, he used to do boxing. Now he does one-to-one fighting. It's a bit scary. When you look closely he has massive muscles. But he's a nice guy.
Last year KAT-TUN reached 15 years and Nakamaru was really glad. Usually, there's a tradition of celebrating for 5th and 10th anniversaries, but KAT-TUN had never spent a celebrating year. Personally, he wanted to spend a year celebrating like that and it finally happened on the 15th anniversary. It was a great year and he's really grateful. They were able to sing during Kohaku for the first time. There were many first times during that one year.
The 15th-anniversary live tour was made in the image of a "best of" album, it was full of single songs and some popular original songs from their Jr years. It was like the best of 15 years. They used a lot of water for the live performances, about 20 tonnes, and the jet went as high as 15 meters. It was something they wanted to do.
Questions from the tv show. Do you have a routine before going to sleep?
Nakamaru watches youtube before sleep. He recently got a projector from Kamenashi for his birthday. He really wanted one of those because it can project on the ceiling. It turns off automatically after 15 minutes, so he just leaves it on as he falls asleep.
What's a memorable scene from the Beijing winter Olympics?
It's the snowboarding of Hirano-kun. Nakamaru got chills from watching it, it was amazing.
Crystal Moment was used for NTV's broadcast of the Winter Olympics. Sakurai made the lyrics for the rap part and gave KAT-TUN directions during the recording of the song. He's a senpai in Johnny's terms and in age as well, so Nakamaru was nervous. They repeated the rap part many times to get it better and listened to Sakurai's own recording of it many times, so as they were recording, it gradually became more and more like Sakurai's rap.
Moonshot is a more calm, adult, and stylish song. Like EDM, uptempo. The lyrics are mysterious and about the future world.
It's April soon and there are many people who will start new things, like jobs or school. What Nakamaru you'd like to try in 2022? As a hobby he likes filming and video editing, so he'd like to edit a video related to KAT-TUN. He does it freely on his own, but as a group it might be difficult. If there's a chance he'd like to try it, but he doesn't know what the other two think.
